ENGLISH VEGETABLE TANNED KIP FOR MAKING GREAT HOODS AND OTHER CUSTOM LEATHER CRAFTS
We now carry some of the finest English calf hides for making hoods found in the USA. Our English kip hides are made special for us in England in small batches. Our hides have very clean front and backs and have a nice firm thickness of 3.2 to 3.7 ounces thickness and the average hide size is 15 to 18 sq ft per hide. If you want the finest English kip available for hood making and leather working we have them now in stock. We recommend our 3.2 to 3.7 ounce kip for hood making for medium to large size hawks and falcons and also just right for eagle hoods. (Full shoulders only.)

Kip hide prices have been going up over the past few years as there are less tanneries around the world now producing good quality Kip leather. With less kip available the cost has gone up. We are doing are best to keep the prices low as we can.
Most of the sides we are getting are from 15 to 18 sq ft per shoulder. So you are getting a little more leather now.
