Ideal for the live capture of birds from Red tailed hawks on down to starling sized birds. (Proper permits required to capture protected species of course!) The short list of users includes Falconers, Wildlife Researchers, Bird Banders and the general public for certain species. Check your local regulations.
Features include: 1) Quick collapsible/deployable design, for easy transport. Much quicker than others I have seen. 2) Very high speed and yet low inertia for safety since they are also very lightweight. 3) Very low profile when set, and much lower profile than any other collapsible model on the market on the market that I know of. 4) They are designed to have a pre-load (downward spring tension) when deployed to keep captured birds from escape. This feature is absent in many other models on the market. 5) Included slip case. 6) Included custom trigger. 7) Included 10″ stakes, suitable for soft ground.
Our Bownet Springs are custom designed and make this Bownet work like none you have ever seen before. Setting this bownet trap while using the revise tension springs allows this trap to hold the bownet down to the ground and intern makes it so the trapped birds cannot get out. The spring tension on this Bownet trap is so fast that is has a 99% trap rate at catching birds.

These Bownets have been testing on 100 of birds from Red tail hawk down to Starlings.

We will repair or replace at our discretion your bownet or remote control unit within one year of purchase. Items that are damaged or broken besides normal use will not be covered under this warranty.


Remote control information:

Long-Range Remote Control Bownet Release. Tested to over 1 mile line of sight range. The box is weather sealed against rain or snow. Very fast action release. The antenna is flexible so that birds flying past will not upset the mechanism. The setting height is adjustable for very low profile setting and works extremely well with my low profile bownets. It will work with most bownets having tubes as large as 3/4″ diameter. It takes 8 standard AA batteries in the receiver box with plenty of power for 100 plus releases and a long standby time of several days. The transmitter takes a single 9 volt battery and has a very long lifespan. Batteries are included.
