SHORT PERCH LEASH FOR TETHERING HAWKS OR FALCONS

We now offer a short perch leash that comes with a loop on one end and a large sampo swivel braided onto the other end and a large sampo swivel braided onto the other end with two spring snaps attach with heavy duty split rings. This leash is hand braided eight strand using dacron 900lb line in a round braid to make it very tough and strong. This setup has been used by falconers to tether their hawks or falcons to their perches. You basically would attach your jesses to the sampo swivel directly or others have used a heavy duty split ring and two strong spring snaps and then these would attach to the jesses. On the other end of this short leash you would use a small karabiner through the loop and then attach this to your perch ring. Since this braided leash is only 19” long, it works very well in the mews at keeping your bird close to the perch, but also short enough that you bird can bate from side to side without hitting the mew sides. Many falconers like this as a new quicker faster way to tether their birds and then once taken up from the perch the karabiner can be attached to your D-ring.
