Good falconry information is very important to have before embarking on the process of learning the art of falconry. The training process is complicated and quite time-consuming, so arming yourself with good information from seasoned veterans will save you a lot of time. There are a number of organizations and associations both in the United States and overseas that are excellent resources for up-to-date information on falconry.

The art of falconry dates back many hundreds of years, and today is practiced throughout the world. Many species of hawks, falcons and eagles are used for falconry, in which they are trained to respond to the commands of the falconer to go and hunt small game. Eagles are part of the broadwing family of birds of prey and are among the largest such birds used for falconry purposes. They are incredibly strong and so require extra discipline on the part of the falconer during the training process.
