Falconry Books
Falconry books are a great way for those people new to the art to learn more about the practice of falconry. Dating back to the era of Mesopotamia, falconry is now practiced throughout the world, particularly in the Arabian countries, the United States and the United Kingdom. Japan was also an important contributor to the development of falconry.
The art of falconry is essentially about training birds of prey to hunt wild game following the commands of the falconer. The falconer uses equipment like a gauntlet, bells, perches and leather straps known as jesses. Jesses attach to the bird's ankles and are a necessary tool in training a bird of prey to follow commands. Hawks, eagles and falcons are the most commonly used birds of prey in falconry.
