Our removable Squirrel guards were designed by falconers that have hunted for many years and have caught lots of Squirrels and have keep their birds from getting very few leg bites when using these squirrel guards. These guards cover the legs more and also layout over the top of your birds feet so that they are less likely to get bitten by the squirrel. Our guards are made from two layers of thin cowhide leather that offers good protection. We can never guarantee that your bird will not get bitten, but these guards do offer more added protection to their legs and feet than you would get with a regular pair of anklets. Each Squirrel guard comes in a set that is made to fit either the right or left leg and also comes with a pair of leather field jesses with no slits in them.
